What does it mean to follow Christ? As a soldier follows his captain, so we should follow Christ, our commander. As a slave follows his master, so we should follow Christ, our Lord. As we follow the advice of a trusted counselor so we should follow Jesus commands to us in Scripture. As we follow the laws of our nation, so we should follow the laws of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Just as the moon reflects the sun's light, Jesus reflected the Father's light, life, and love on the earth. Those that follow the teachings of Christ, who become disciples of God's Word, written and spoken, walk in the light, in the revelation knowledge and life which God created us to be in. If we are truly discipled in His ways, we shall have no want of the light, as though in darkness. But we will HAVE the light and life and love, just as Jesus did.

I needed this right now, to see that. Perfect timing God. Although.. I still feel horrible.. Some lightening of the load came when I saw that link and clicked it. Thankyou.. without this today.. I would of broken down. A lot worse.Very very Grateful for you all posting this.. and Gods timing.

Jesus is the light of the world. If we follow Him, if we walk in the Sonlight, then we are reflectors of His light. We are to reflect the light of The Son so that someone in darkness may see. I am talking here about Missions, Evangelism, Outreach, and Witnessing. By word and deed we are to reflect the light of Jesus into the lives of friends, neighbors, co-workers, and fellow students who live and walk in darkness. But do we? Do you ever witness to others about Christ the light of a sin-darkened world? Is there someone you are working on and praying for who knows only darkness and not light?

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." Let me ask you:
-Do you follow Jesus?
-Is yours a life of light?
-Do you reflect the light of Christ?

How many of us Christians live like we have the light of life? Are we filled with joy, or boggled down with depression? Are we adventurers or are we fearful of stepping out? If we are following Christ, we should be filled with light and life. Joyful, excited, eager!! We must be set apart from the darkness of the world. We have something to be so tremendously joyful about! Christ Jesus lives within us!
When all else fails, and it seems that hope is gone, and nothing is going how you planned, and it feels like you will fall apart, remember that! Christ lives within you, He made you, He knows you and He loves you! YOU have the light of life!!

I am neigh unto thee even on thy lips.
That's how close Jesus is to us, we just have to speak His name and he's there! How great is that!!! He light's up our lives so we can see clearly that he our only need. With Him darkness HAS to flee!
